From the Mid-West to the Aloha State.

Growing up in Minnesota

Growing up in Minnesota, hard work and dedication were baked into Leil Koch by family and friends who mainly worked in the Gopher State's Fortune 500 corridor. His father David A. Koch, the former CEO of Graco (an American manufacturer of fluid-handling systems and products), taught him the value of giving back to his community, how to run a successful business and how to be a leader.

At the same time, Leil spent his summers bailing hay, fencing, and herding black Angus cattle, where he learned what long hard-working days were, the value of a good plot of land, and the importance of taking care of it, and, as the Code states, "it’s wise utilization and widely allocated ownership."

Pacific University of Oregon

He went on to attend college at Pacific University in Oregon and pursued a major in clinical psychology. He did his internship working with autistic children. It's here when Leil's passion for philanthropy coupled with this first-hand life experience unified his growing desire to find new ways to help others around him.

"He came to a crossroads after college, deciding between going for his Doctorate, heading back to Minnesota to take part in the family business, or moving to Maui."

Aloha Maui

He came to a crossroads after college, deciding between going for his Doctorate, heading back to Minnesota to take part in the family business, or moving to Maui. Never one to back down from a challenge or the unknown, Leil chose to go to Hawaii.

Serving Community

His time there has led to more new and exciting projects. From volunteering as a teacher/trainer to approx. 200 Maui Police Department recruits in the ki-aikido martial arts and awareness training, to endowment committee chair on the board of the Maui Ki Aikido Dojo, commercial building developer to creating and managing a boutique extra virgin olive oil orchard company called Pueokea Farms, Leil, literally and figuratively, is all about learning and growing.

A REALTOR for 40+ Years

Along with all these ventures, Leil remains a steadfast advocate and supporter of the REALTOR® community, proudly giving 40+ years in both the residential and commercial real estate industries of his whole heart and soul and what he has learned from his life experiences into the growth and betterment of the real estate industry worldwide.

Leil's life has overall been a constant blend of experiences. His unique background and array of interests have helped him become well-rounded and taught him to appreciate different perspectives. His strong foundation, sense of self, and passion for philanthropy drive him to seek out new endeavors, be constantly learning, and above all, serve others.
