UNITE IN ORDER TO PROGRESS
“Home is where the heart is” and for Leil Koch, Eligible Candidate for 2024 NAR First Vice President, his heart is home to an unparalleled legacy of advocacy, innovation, inclusion, and service built to tackle the issues and implement the programs, services and technologies that are essential to keeping real estate professionals at the heart of the real estate transaction.
Like others before him who asked for your vote to serve in this prestigious position, Leil will commit the time and resources to building better communities at the local, state and national levels so a competitive and fair marketplace exists for our members to thrive.
Leil’s promise: to preserve private property rights, strengthen the real estate industry to better withstand present and future threats and improve the communities where real estate professionals derive their income.
Let's unite, shape and advance this great community together!
ADVOCACY
Over the years, Leil Koch, working with leaders on all three levels of the National Association of REALTORS® and its various affiliated organizations, helped to build a federal lobby that is second to none. Today, he knows that bolstering advocacy on the local level is paramount to keeping our members at the heart of the transaction.
Leil understands that locally targeted, neighborhood-by-neighborhood engagement campaigns, both in-person and online, build closer affinities, consideration and partnerships with consumers, businesses and industry professionals alike.
An aggressive goal, but Leil has never been one to back down from a challenge, and with your help, his forward-thinking local advocacy strategy will serve in tandem with federal and state lobbying efforts to keep REALTORS® relevant in the hearts and minds of real estate consumers, legislative officials and third-party transaction partners.
INCLUSION
To thrive in the ‘glocal’ (global & local) experiences economy we all operate in, Leil Koch has an ambitious goal for NAR: a boundary less organization where silos no longer exist and all segments of the National Association work together, ideate and share, and power forward as the world’s premier member-driven, diverse service provider and tech innovator for REALTORS®.
Using his advocacy, negotiating and relationship building skills, Leil will prioritize the delivery of services, programs and products that shorten the internal decision-making process, eliminate red tape, where necessary, and foster stronger collaboration among NAR and all NAR affiliates.
By being more inclusive, and bringing people together across levels, functions, and geographies, REALTORS® globally will have at their fingertips access to the very best education, innovation and representation to help them be successful real estate entrepreneurs.
INNOVATION
As modern real estate continues to evolve, Leil Koch believes that innovation is more than technology. Yes, he will work to ensure that REALTORS® can rely on NAR to provide them with industry-proven and future technologies. For him, innovation is changing consumer and industry attitudes and perceptions. He sees innovation in three parts: People, Process and Products.
Innovation starts with the people and his belief is in leveraging the diversity of views and life experiences of those who proudly serve and work for NAR.
Second, process innovation is a critical aspect of keeping our members at the heart of the transaction.
Third, product innovation means staying ahead of the technology curve and inspiring the brightest minds and companies to join with NAR as it challenges the status quo and changes the way REALTORS® conduct business.
SERVICE
Leil Koch is humbled to have the opportunity to serve an Association whose members do more than buy, sell, lease or rent real property; they are active citizens of the communities where they live and work. To keep our members at the heart of the transaction today, and into the future, Leil’s plan is to leverage a local strategy of shouting to the rooftops this higher purpose and to connect REALTORS® with their communities in greater numbers.
His desire meets head-on the expectations and experiences of today’s consumers who increasingly are choosing only to spend their time and resources with professionals who do more than sell. Leil sums up the importance of service with the Hawaiian word ‘Kokua’ which means, “to help selflessly, to cooperate or ‘pitch in’ while having consideration for others.”
